The Material Handler accurately picks and stages materials to support production lines, performs inventory cycle counts, and uses ERP and RF scanning tools to ensure parts are available when needed. This role focuses on pulling parts from backorder lists, investigating inventory discrepancies, and supporting warehouse operations with opportunities for cross-training in shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pull materials based on weekly backorder lists for specific production lines, ensuring all required parts are available for the remainder of the week.
• Use RF scanners to pull picking lists and accurately locate, scan, and confirm materials within the warehouse.
• Perform regular cycle counts after completing picking assignments to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Leverage the ERP system to access, review, and manage material and inventory information, including investigating any issues or inconsistencies.
• Stay flexible and assist with various warehouse tasks, including moving between different areas or responsibilities as needed.
• Support shipping and receiving activities as required, including helping with the movement and organization of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following established warehouse procedures.

• Experience using an ERP system for inventory or materials management.
• Proficiency with RF scanners for picking and inventory activities.
• Hands-on experience with material picking and inventory handling.
• Ability to perform accurate cycle counts and maintain inventory integrity.
• Capability to operate a forklift safely in a warehouse environment.
• Willingness to work a shift from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow picking lists and instructions.

• Experience with NetSuite ERP is highly beneficial.
• Prior experience in shipping and receiving functions.
• Comfort working with technology-based tools such as handheld RF scanners and ERP systems.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple warehouse functions.
• Strong problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve inventory issues.

Work Environment

The role is based in a small warehouse, described as roughly the size of an aisle at a large retail warehouse club, providing a more focused and manageable workspace. You will work a shift from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., using RF scanners, an ERP system (such as NetSuite), and warehouse equipment including forklifts. The environment emphasizes safe material handling, efficient movement of parts, and collaboration across picking, inventory, and shipping and receiving functions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hayward, CA.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
