Job Title: Receiving Inspector (Outbound Inspector) – Aviation Parts

Job Description

Join a global aviation parts and inventory solutions provider that supports airlines, MROs, OEMs, and distributors through a centralized parts marketplace and sourcing network. In this role, you serve as the final quality checkpoint for outgoing aviation materials, ensuring every shipment meets strict quality inspection standards and documentation requirements. You will work in a quality-driven environment where accuracy, traceability, and proper documentation are essential, and where your attention to detail directly supports safe and reliable operations across the aviation supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Review outgoing orders at the start of each day and prioritize inspections based on shipping timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Perform hands-on visual inspection of aviation parts and materials to verify that all items meet established quality inspection standards and customer requirements.
  • Compare materials against sales orders, repair documentation, and other supporting records to confirm correct part numbers, quantities, and configurations.
  • Verify that all required documentation, including certifications and traceability records, is complete, accurate, and properly associated with each shipment.
  • Identify discrepancies such as missing documents, incorrect quantities, or nonconforming materials, and promptly escalate or coordinate with the appropriate teams to resolve issues.
  • Enter, update, and validate data in the internal systems to ensure all records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
  • Issue material certifications once inspections are complete and requirements are met, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and customer specifications.
  • Handle ESD-sensitive components using proper electrostatic discharge controls and procedures to protect product integrity.
  • Follow established Quality Management System processes and contribute to maintaining compliance with relevant quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance team and other departments to support continuous improvement initiatives and streamline inspection and outbound processes.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, accountability, and consistency in all inspection and documentation activities.
  • Support general warehouse outbound operations as needed, including coordination with shipping and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate shipment of materials.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience processing aviation surplus parts required.
  • Hands-on aviation parts inspection experience with a strong understanding of traceability and quality documentation.
  • Experience in material handling, warehouse inventory, and warehouse receiving or shipping and receiving functions.
  • Experience in roles such as shipping and receiving clerk, receiver, or similar warehouse positions.
  • Familiarity with shipping processes using carriers such as UPS and FedEx, including tools like UPS online systems and FedEx Ship Manager.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar computer systems for data entry and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and thorough documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal teams and documenting inspection results.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization in a professional and collaborative manner.
  • Self-motivation with the ability to take initiative and solve problems independently.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude and strong customer service focus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 1 additional year of related work experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO and/or AS quality standards is a plus.
  • Experience in quality control, quality assurance, or quality inspection roles within a warehouse or aviation environment.
  • Familiarity with documentation control and audit-ready recordkeeping practices.
  • Comfort working within a structured Quality Management System and following established procedures.
  • Interest in building a long-term career within the aviation supply chain and inspection discipline.

Why Work Here?

You will join a globally connected organization with a strong focus on quality, inspection discipline, and operational excellence. The role offers a clear contract-to-hire pathway with a genuine opportunity to convert to a permanent position. You will work a stable first-shift schedule, providing predictable hours and work-life balance, in an air-conditioned warehouse environment that supports your comfort and safety. This position offers a valuable opportunity to deepen your experience in the aviation supply chain, where documentation, accuracy, and traceability are highly valued, making it a strong addition to your resume. You will be part of a culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.

Work Environment

This role operates on a stable first-shift schedule, typically working from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in an air-conditioned warehouse environment. You will work in a setting that combines hands-on material handling with computer-based documentation and system updates. The facility emphasizes safety and professionalism; all warehouse employees must wear steel-toe shoes starting on their first day. After conversion to a permanent role at approximately the 90-day mark, the company reimburses the cost of steel-toe shoes up to a specified amount. You will work around outbound shipping operations, including interaction with carriers such as UPS and FedEx, and use computer systems and software tools to manage orders, documentation, and quality records. The environment is fast-paced yet structured, with clear processes, defined quality standards, and a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and traceability.
