Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking skilled structural assemblers/sheet metal technicians to join our dynamic team. The role involves working in confined spaces, such as wing fuel tanks, and performing tasks like drilling holes, installing fasteners, skins, rivets, and nut plates. Technicians will be responsible for precision drilling and installing bushings in the wings, as well as repairing misaligned parts outside the wing. While the skins will already be on the wings, there may be occasions when drilling in small skins on the wing surface is required.

Responsibilities

• Work in confined spaces, including wing fuel tanks.
• Perform basic drilling, fastener installation, and riveting tasks.
• Read and interpret task cards and aircraft production plans.
• Repair misaligned parts and conduct precision drilling.
• Install bushings and perform structural assembly work.
• Work off work tags and complete job tasks efficiently.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years experience with aircraft wing assembly and/or overhaul.
• At least 3 years of experience in precision riveting and aircraft-specific structural assembly.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Ownership of basic mechanical tooling.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience on private jets such as Global 5000-6000 and Challenger.
• Prior experience working on aircraft wings.

Work Environment

This role is onsite, offering a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The shift is yet to be determined and may include day or afternoon hours.

This is a Contract position based out of Mississauga, ON.

The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $52.00/hr.
