Emirates is starting operations at Helsinki and looking for our next Supervisor Airport Services to support and lead the Emirates shift.
As our next Supervisor Airport Services you will support the Airport Services Officer to and coordinate frontline operations, ensuring safe, efficient and customer focussed service delivery. The role involves assisting with oversight of check-in, boarding, baggage, ramp, lounges, hotel, and terminal control activities whilst contributing to staff support, resource utilisation, service recovery and continuous improvement.
A day in the life of our Supervisor Airport Services, could involve:
- Supporting daily airport operations across check-in, boarding, baggage services, ticket desk and lounge areas
- Providing a warm, professional and efficient service to customers throughout their journey
- Assisting customers with travel queries, special service requirements, documentation, visas and excess baggage
- Helping to ensure flights depart safely and on time by following boarding procedures and operational standards
- Supporting premium customers, loyalty card holders and passengers requiring additional assistance
- Monitoring queues and customer flow to help maintain a smooth and organised airport experience
- Assisting with baggage arrivals, missing or damaged baggage queries and customer follow-up where required
- Supporting ticketing and reservation tasks, including itinerary changes, fare recalculations and ticket issuing
- Keeping customers informed during delays, disruption or denied boarding situations
- Working closely with colleagues, ground handling agents and service providers to maintain high service standards
- Helping with pre-flight and post-flight documentation, reports and operational checks
- Following all company safety, security and service procedures at all times
- Supporting lounge operations when required, including liaising with catering, cleaning and maintenance providers
- Helping create a seamless, friendly and memorable customer experience from arrival to departure
QualificationTo be considered for the role, you must meet the below minimum requirements:
- The unrestricted right to live and work in Finland
- A minimum of two years operational airport experience
- Fluency in both Finnish and English
- Able to provide a clear 5 year reference and DBS check, in order for you to obtain an airport ID.
Youll have an edge if you have:
- Experience of leading a team in an airport environment
- Experience of using ticketing and airline systems
- Can speak additional languages
