Job Title: Aircraft Painter
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter who is experienced in preparing and painting aircraft surfaces by following engineering drawings. This role involves applying chemicals and paint to aircraft surfaces while ensuring the protection of sensitive areas.
Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings to identify tasks for preparing aircraft surfaces for chemical and paint application.
- Apply safety absorbent to hangar floors and spray aircraft surfaces with stripper to remove existing paint.
- Assist in moving aircraft to designated areas, unmask, and re-mask aircraft surfaces for complete protection.
- Remove stripper, excess paint, and contaminants using water, solvents, air blowers, and brushes.
- Sand, grind, and polish aircraft surfaces, apply putty to dents, and replace sealer in preparation for primer and paint application.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in painting and aviation techniques.
- Experience in paint preparation and using a spray gun.
- Ability to sand and repair surfaces.
- Minimum of 5 years of painting experience, which can include a combination of aircraft and automotive painting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with corporate jets.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
